Tyler Evin (b. 1991) is an artist from West Fargo, North Dakota, currently based in Houston, Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art and Art Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Painting at the University of Houston.

Evin's work explores the emotional and psychological complexities embedded within everyday life. Drawing from familiar domestic spaces, he creates images inhabited by recurring subjects that function as stand-ins for broader human experiences. Through layered compositions, shifting perspectives, and moments of quiet observation, his paintings and drawings examine themes of care and vulnerability, and the search for meaning within ordinary routines.

He currently teaches undergraduate painting and drawing courses at the University of Houston while serving as an Instructional Assistant in the Painting Department.

A man with a beard and tattoos on his left arm, wearing a gray cap and an orange plaid shirt, stands next to an art studio table with mixed paint colors. Behind him is an abstract textured painting on a wall, hanging from a wooden frame.
